At just 16 years old, Sophia Trần Phương Anh, known as Sophia, has emerged as a prominent figure in Việt Nam’s pickleball scene. Transitioning from a tennis background, she discovered pickleball during a hiatus caused by a shoulder injury. Her dedication and talent quickly propelled her to become the youngest professional pickleball player in the country.

Sophia’s impressive achievements include securing four gold medals at the World Pickleball Championship in Indonesia, where she showcased remarkable resilience by overcoming significant match deficits. She also clinched two gold medals at the PPA Tour Australia – Vietnam Open, further solidifying her status on the international stage. Her exceptional performance has elevated her to the 15th position globally, according to the DUPR rankings.

Balancing her athletic career with academics, Sophia pursues online studies, allowing her to maintain a rigorous training schedule. Beyond the court, she has a passion for nail art, makeup, fashion, music production, gaming, and graphic design, often creating her own competition posters.

As a key member of the Facolos Global Team, Việt Nam’s first professional pickleball team, Sophia continues to inspire and lead, aiming to compete in prestigious tournaments like the PPA TOUR in the US and Major League Pickleball.
